Ruth A. Riley, M.S., AHIP

Ruth A. Riley, MS, AHIP, was appointed Director of Library Services at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2000 and Assistant Dean for Executive Affairs in 2012. Ms. Riley was previously at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Library as Associate Director, at the University of Michigan Alfred Taubman Medical Library as the Coordinator of Information Management Education and Database Services, and at the University of Missouri J. Otto Lottes Health Sciences Library as Information Services Librarian.

She completed the B.A. in sociology at the University of Kansas and the M.S. in library and information science at the University of Illinois. Ms. Riley has served as President of the Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries, Chair of the Southern Chapter of the Medical Library Association and Chair of the Partnership Among South Carolina Academic Libraries.
